FAQ
Is this really free?
Yes — no account, no subscription, no limit on how many invoices you can create.
Where is my invoice data stored?
Your invoice data is stored locally on this device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use the app — you won't see any outgoing data requests.
What happens if I clear my browser data or switch devices?
Your saved invoices live only in this browser. Clearing site data, using a different browser, or switching devices means they won't be there — nothing is backed up to a server. Download important invoices as PDF to keep a permanent copy.
Does it handle my local sales tax / VAT / GST rules?
No — it calculates whatever tax rate percentage you enter, but it doesn't know your local tax rules. Check with an accountant or your local tax authority for the correct rate and rules for your business.
Can I create GST invoices for India with this?
Yes, for the basics: set the tax rate to your applicable GST rate (e.g. 5%, 12%, 18%, or 28%) and it will calculate the tax correctly. What it does not do yet: show a separate CGST/SGST split for intra-state sales, or include GSTIN and HSN/SAC code fields. If your business needs those for GST return filing, check with your accountant on whether a single tax line is sufficient for your case.
How does the invoice numbering work?
Numbers follow INV-{year}-{sequence} and always continue from your highest existing number for the current year, resetting each new year. You can also type your own number manually at any time.
